Ingersoll Creative Art Centre Workshop with Kathy Dolan
If you’re curious about painting with pastels, and would like to experience it hands-on before investing in supplies, then this workshop is for you! All the materials will be provided during the workshop. All you need to bring is your creativity!
Starting with an introduction to this exciting medium, you will learn various techniques, and practice with a variety of different types papers and pastels. You will work along step-by-step as Kathy demonstrates her process of painting a landscape. A photo reference will be provided.

Painting The Bow River in Pastels
Saturday, April 13, 2019, Ingersoll, Ontario
9:00 am All materials were provided in this workshop. Paintings will be done on pastelmat paper that been prepared with an acrylic underpainting and outline has been sketched in. The paintings were all done using nupastels.

I am so thankful that Kathy agreed to come out to the Walden Art Club and teach a two day workshop! We had a wonderful weekend. I learned a lot about pastels and papers.I had no experience with this medium! I was so impressed with all the treats and samples she had for us. We were able to try many different brands of pastels,papers and blenders. I even won a door prize of a package of sample pastel papers that was donated by Dakota Art Pastels (thank you Dakota!) Also thanks to the WAC for hosting the workshop! And most of all thank you Kathy Dolan for sharing all of your knowledge and expertise in this workshop.
